Creating a State of Algebrafication (at Normandale)

This workshop is grant-funded and is available ONLY to the following districts/schools: Eden Prairie School District, Osseo School District, Roseville School District, ISD 287, ISD 916, North Heights Christian Academy (NHCA), and St. John School of Little Canada.

Creating a State of Algebrafication, October 28, 2017, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM. No fee. Lunch is not included. At Normandale Community College. Presenter: Terry Wyberg

The goal of this project is to increase the math achievement of all students by helping teachers become more adept at teaching algebra. The project includes a five-day face-to-face training session for grades 5-12 teachers and grades K-12 representatives, and the development and pilot of a virtual professional development module for teachers in grade K-12. The project is funded through Title II B dollars awarded to a collaborative of nine educational agencies.

Participants must register for one of the June 2-day workshops, one of the 1-day October workshops, one of the 1-day November workshops, AND one of the 1-day January workshops (total of five days.) Please register for each workshop separately using this web registration site. All workshops are offered at Metro ECSU (2 Pine Tree Dr, Arden Hills, MN) AND Normandale Community College (9700 France Ave S, Bloomington, MN 55431.) You may attend whichever location/date is most convenient for you for each of the workshops.

Participants who attend the five day multi-month sessions will receive stipends as follows: a) $300/person for the two-day June workshop; b) substitute costs will be covered for Tuesday sessions in October, November, and January (workdays); c) $150/day/person for the Saturday sessions in October, November, and January (non-workdays).

Cancellation: You can cancel your own registration for an event before the cancellation deadline. (Please check the event information for specific cancellation details.) If the event has a fee, refunds are possible only if cancellation is prior to the deadline. If you do not attend and do not cancel prior to an event, you are still responsible for payment and will be billed.
