8:45 - 10:00: Person-Centered-Planning and the Olmstead Act, Sue Benolken /MDE
- Learning Goals:
- What is person-centered planning?
- What are the critical features of person-centered planning?
- What are the current activities in MN’s Olmstead Plan that educators are partnering with MDE regarding person-centered planning?
- Time will be given at the end of the presentation for questions.
10:00 - 10:15: BREAK
10:15 - 12:00: Group Collaboration- D/HH Toolbox: PLAAFPs and IEP Goals
- Groups by grade level or area of need
- Begin with PLAAFPS (impact statements, unique needs)
12:00 - 1:00: LUNCH
1:00 - 3:30: Continue Group Collaboration- D/HH Toolbox: PLAAFPs and IEP goals
- IEP Goal Groups: Reading, language, self-advocacy, social skills, etc.
