Course description:
This workshop will have two sessions.
The morning session will focus on developing receptive cue reading skills of Cued American English. Participants will be cueing with the instructor and fellow participants to practice cue reading conversational information.
The afternoon session will focus on learning tools, techniques, and resources for cued speech professionals to properly care for their health. We will discuss the anatomy of the career, proper ergonomics, and making healthy habits for a healthy lifestyle to protect our ability to perform daily work and prevent injury.

Biographies:
Angela Zellen is fluent In both ASL and cued speech. She was born with a hearing loss. She first started to learn ASL until cued speech was introduced in preschool at the age of three. Angela knows both cued speech and ASL have contributed to her ability to understand English and to communicate with deaf/hh peers. Angela is currently attending college to pursue a clinical social worker degree. Angela enjoys volleyball, college, meeting new people, psychology, making crafts, attending workshops and many more. Angela is an advocate for cued speech.
Brenda Pfeiffer is a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician. She has been practicing for 22 years with most of her career in Wyoming, MN. Her primary focus has been on family care. She also enjoys a special interest in athletic-related cases and their treatment. Outside of her profession, Dr. Pfeiffer enjoys running, traveling and spending time with her family and pets
