Review goals and achievements of 2016-2017
Regional Goal picked: RG3-E FAPE
- Plan a presentation on funding for Assistive Technology. Invite a funding presenter. CoP will share resources with district administration and/or staff. Discuss issues regarding device maintenance, control and management. 20 will attend. 80 % will feel confident in sharing the information with district colleagues and administrators. - Plan a presentation on the 504 Plan and assistive technology. Invite the Section 504/Methods of Assurance Coordinator/Compliant Investigator to attend and have a dialogue regarding 504 Plans in the district. Measureable Goal: With this person’s expertise, write a fact sheet from the discussion. 95% of attendees will share with administrators and/or district colleagues. - Continue to offer sub awards from $500-$2000 to districts via RFPs to improve student success through staff development. Measureable Goal: a minimum of 24 districts will apply to receive funding. Staff surveys will show an 80% of attendees were confident in sharing the topic. 29 districts applied
- Continue the Tech Talk Newsletter as a means to update staff and parents on available AT information. Measureable goal: A survey will be constructed to collect data on number of Tech Talk Newsletters that were emailed/handed to colleagues, parents and administrators. 100% of those in the Email group will open the Tech Talk Newsletter email. 300 Tech Talk Newsletters will be emailed or handed out. RG4: Ensure access to equitable education services across all 8 Regional Low Incidence Projects
- Workshop/webinar/presentation by Kelly Fonner will be broadcast via Media Site Did not happen
- Fact Sheet on 504 plans will be posted to the Metro ECSU website. Done, Submitted to WeCo to be made accessible
- Tech Talk Newsletters will be posted in accessible documents to the Metro ECSU website. AT and AAC completed, AT for Recreation/Leisure near completion
