Workshop description: This workshop will focus on developing receptive cue reading skills of Cued American English. Participants will be cueing with the instructor and fellow participants to practice cue reading conversational information.
Presenter: Angela Zellen is fluent in both ASL and cued speech. She was born with a hearing loss. She first started to learn ASL until cued speech was introduced in preschool at the age of three. Angela knows both cued speech and ASL have contributed to her ability to understand English and to communicate with deaf/HH peers. Angela is currently attending college to pursue a clinical social worker degree. Angela enjoys volleyball, college, meeting new people, psychology, making crafts, attending workshops and many more. Angela is an advocate for cued speech.
