More than Just the Interpreter: Gaining a Seat at the Educational Team Table

The days of being “just the interpreter” are over. We now strive to operate as a collaborator and resource within the educational team, working together to create inclusive educational spaces. How do we get the school staff and administrators on board? This workshop will be a collaborative, interactive experience in which participants will work together to develop and discover strategies for gaining a seat at the educational team table. Topics that will be discussed are presenting yourself as a professional, effectively advocating for your needs, and acting as a resource within the team.

This program is offered for 2.0 CEH TECUnit hours and .2 RID CEUS

Fee for this event is $15.00 and includes a light supper
