Description:

Participants will build on the information presented in past mentoring share shops and in this session will specifically be examining the last round of EIPA results (March 2017) to identify areas still showing consistent need for improvement.  We will look at these areas of need and discuss what it is that they mean and how EIPA evaluates them.  We will work to set forth a plan that will provide continued support and trainings and will foster continued professional growth not only for the non-certified but the certified interpreters.  We will engage in discussion and planning for the mentors as to how to better adapt their mentoring style to meet the needs of their individual mentees and the materials that can assist them in preparation for EIPA testing success.

The session includes a presentation by Kathie Johnson, a graduate of the St. Paul Technical College Interpreter Training Program ('95) and currently working in Intermediate District 287.
