Tara Grammenos presentation "Keeping up with the Millennials.”

Description: “Our world has changed drastically over the years; from TTYs and beepers to VRS and Facebook. Whether it’s learning the new slang teens are using or figuring out how to use a hashtag; teachers, interpreters, parents, and those working in K-12 settings need to keep up. In this workshop, we will discuss many topics including: social media, apps, texting acronyms, cyberbullying, and suicide.” This presentation will include instruction on related ASL vocabulary/phrases/slang, etc. as well as special considerations and challenges for students who are DHH and use ASL.
