Assessments for SEL & School Climate, May 15, 2018, 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Who should attend: Principals, Assistant Principals, District Leaders, Other Educators

Learn how and why to use tools for assessments identified duringClay Cook’s SEL (Social Emotional Learning) presentation last fall. This workshop will include an overview of several different assessment tools, including school climate, social emotional learning, and behavior for students, as well as staff self-assessments. You will leave with tools and resources to use within your schools and districts.

Participants will:

· Learn about different assessment tools

· Compare and contrast different aspects of several assessments

· Leave with tools and resources

Presenter: Heather Hirsch, School Climate specialist, Minnesota Department of Education. An in-demand workshop presenter across the state of MN, Heather’s work for MDE addresses school climate, school safety, and social emotional learning. She holds a Master’s Degree in Public Health, and a School Climate Leadership Certificate from the National School Climate Center. She is a South Washington County School Board member, and serves on the board of a non-profit aimed at improving literacy and social emotional skills of students.

$10 processing fee applies to all invoices.

 

 

Cancellation: You can cancel your own registration for an event before the cancellation deadline. (Please check the event information for specific cancellation details.) If the event has a fee, refunds are possible only if cancellation is prior to the deadline. If you do not attend and do not cancel prior to an event, you are still responsible for payment and will be billed.
