The METRO RIP is providing a half-day workshop for Metro Cohort Schools on Check-In/Check Out. This workshop provides information on what this intervention is and how to implement it within your school-wide PBIS framework. This is for schools that have experienced success with Tier 1 school-wide PBIS and are ready to focus on CICO as a Tier 2 intervention. This session is also appropriate for schools that need to revisit their basic CICO implementation to ensure consistent outcomes.

Dr. Kevin Filter has worked as a trainer, data consultant, and leadership team member for the Minnesota Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) Initiative since 2005. He has published several studies on FBA, Check-In/ Check Out (CICO), and PBIS as a professor in the school psychology  program at Minnesota State University, Mankato. Dr. Filter worked with the authors of the CICO program in Oregon and has trained several schools and districts in Minnesota to implement it.

 

Cancellation: You can cancel your own registration for an event before the cancellation deadline. (Please check the event information for specific cancellation details.) If the event has a fee, refunds are possible only if cancellation is prior to the deadline. If you do not attend and do not cancel prior to an event, you are still responsible for payment and will be billed.

Special Accommodations: Please alert BrightWorks 2-3 weeks prior to the workshop/event if you need special accommodations, including sign language interpreters. (BrightWorks requires a notice of 2 business days to cancel a sign language interpreter. If you fail to cancel, we reserve the right to bill your school/district for this expense.)
