MTSS Tier II Behavioral Intervention

Planning and Implementation

Dec 4, 2018  9:00 AM - 4:00 PM (8:30 check-in) at Metro ECSU

When supporting students with higher behavioral needs, there is not one magic answer. Instead, school teams must have a systemic menu of options in place in order to provide timely interventions that are matched to student need and provide clear data tracking. This workshop will address system-wide work at the Tier II level and how an entire school staff can become involved in intervention planning and implementation to best support behavioral needs.

Attendees will engage in an overview of the MTSS process and reflect on critical features of Tier II behavioral intervention programming. Topics will include a brief overview of Tier I MTSS practices, intervention teaming, intervention matching, data tracking, and next steps.

Participants will:

  • Examine concrete strategies and systems to move your Tier II interventions to the next level
  • Learn processes for intervention matching and Tier II data tracking
  • Explore Tier II fidelity tools
  • Develop an action plan for systems-wide next steps

Who Should Attend: School administrators, teacher leaders, social workers, school psychologists, district administrators, anyone who serves on a Tier II intervention team.
