Workshop description:

This workshop is meant to give educational interpreters a glimpse into the life of a mainstreamed Deaf student as they navigate the Phy-ed class with a sign language interpreter.  We will address non-traditional games such as big base, pickle ball, dodgeball, ultimate frisbee and more.  We will talk vocab, classifiers, and concepts so bring your questions and be ready to hear some great stories. If you think interpreting Phy-ed can be hard, then you should try being the student participating in these action-packed moving games of don't get hit by the flying object!
