Workshop Description:

Professionals are charged with providing high quality, evidence-based early intervention services with fidelity to families of young children who have hearing loss. The L2L Coaching Model was developed as an early intervention planning tool that gives providers a guideline of information and key strategies to share with families of young children who have hearing loss who are learning to communicate through listening and spoken language. The L2L Coaching Model Checklist is an important self-assessment tool for providers of their own knowledge and skills in facilitating listening and spoken language development for children with hearing loss, coaching families, and setting personal professional development goals.

The purpose of the L2L Coaching Model and the use of the L2L Checklist strategies for supporting children’s listening and spoken language development will be shared.  Participants will have the opportunity to complete a self-assessment of their knowledge and skills in at least three strategy areas of the L2L Checklist and identify personal professional development goals to target to effect change in their practice and improve children’s listening and spoken language outcomes.

See attached L2L Workshop flyer for more information.
