MELN Leadership In-Service Series
January 14, 2020, Problem Solving with Student Voice: Practical Strategies and Lessons from the Field, with Imina Oftedahl (Director, Teaching & Learning, Fridley) and Kristine Schaefer (Asst Superintendent Academic Excellence & Accountability, So WA Cty)
Two Sessions: 8:30 - 11:30 OR 12:30 - 3:30
Are you working on addressing disparities in your student population? Using student voice is a key process in addressing the problem. How do we create opportunities to hear student voice? How do we facilitate student conversations and hear student stories? How do we work with the student data once we have it? Join us as we explore proactive strategies to address these issues and challenges. Specific examples of how it is being used successfully in various situations will be provided. Team planning and reflection time will be infused throughout the session.
Due to a glitch in the registration system, MELN event fees do not not display accurately. MELN members within tier attend at no cost; over-tier $125/person. MELN non-members $175/person. Feel free to contact Susan, 612-638-1543, susan.frame@metroecsu.org, for membership information.
$10 processing fee on all invoices. We invoice everyone from whom we have not received payment, 30 days after the event. To avoid the processing fee, please submit your payment before Feb 23.
Special Accommodations: Please alert BrightWorks 2-3 weeks prior to the workshop/event if you need special accommodations, including sign language interpreters. (BrightWorks requires a notice of 2 business days to cancel a sign language interpreter. If you fail to cancel, we reserve the right to bill your school/district for this expense.) Update your profile as needed. Special accommodations are not included with each registration, but are stored in your profile until you make changes.
