OSHA 10-hr General Industry Training
March 12-13, 2020
Recently, MN OSHA has started requiring districts to have an employee OSHA 10hr trained as part of settlement agreements. Therefore, Metro ECSU will be hosting a session in March. This day and a half course covers OSHA standards, including material handling, machine guarding, exit routes, fire protection, electrical, hazard communication and more. It is an opportunity to be proactive and provide professional development to district staff. This course is appropriate for safety professionals, facilities, maintenance or custodial staff and anyone interested in or impacting general safety in your district.
William R Stuart, MPH, CSP obtained his Master’s Degree in Public Health from the University of Minnesota and has over 28 years of experience in the Environmental, Health and Safety field. His great passion is relationship building and bringing the concepts of safety and safety management to a level that is easy to grasp and understandable for everybody. Bill worked for several Fortune 500 companies and at one time served as Global Environmental, Health and Safety Director. He also worked for several years as a consultant for MN OSHA.
Registration Fee: $300 per participant
Registration includes lunch on the first day and donuts and light refreshments both days. Course completion cards will be issued to those who attend the entire training. Metro ECSU will also offer general continuing education credits for those who attend
*Attendees can pre-purchase a 29 CFR 1910 OSHA code book for additional $30. Orders must be placed by February 27, 2020. Books will be available for pick up during the class.
