Workshop description:

This workshop will introduce the 3rd edition of the Test of Gross Motor Development (TGMD) released in 2019. Participants will learn about the major modifications made to the test, how to administer and score the test, and the use of the new national norms. A detailed description and demonstration of the TGMD-3 will take place during this session, which includes 2 new skills, a few new performance criteria, and overall breakdown of changes that were made. Additionally, resources for administrators to be trained on this assessment will be discussed, along with potential uses for this fundamental motor skill assessment including diagnostic evaluation, monitoring child progress following a period of instruction, and research in motor skill development in children with and without a developmental disability.  

Presenter: Dale A Ulrich PhD
Dr. Ulrich is a full professor in the School of Kinesiology at the University of Michigan since 1999. He was a professor at Indiana University for 13 years prior to moving to Michigan.  He has published more than 80 peer reviewed journal articles and made more than 200 research and professional presentations at national and international conferences including 16 times at the NAPEC conference.
