Link for participation will be emailed to Registrants

Date:  October 13, 2020
Time:  5:00 p.m - 7:00 p.m.

Workshop description:  This session will provide resources and group discussion with which to build a repertoire of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, and Mathematics) and diversity sign vocabulary so that interpreters can provide a more equivalent message. The discussion will focus on how to make context visually accessible for Deaf/Hard of Hearing students in classroom settings. We will also discuss how our own experiences affect how we process information as interpreters. Working in the educational setting, interpreters will be encouraged to engage with their team to promote a positive and accessible environment.
