During this training, participants will work through cultural dynamics and advance their work with all students. This full day learning opportunity will offer participants an opportunity to apply learnings from the Keynote into everyday school and student-related experiences.

The Summit Keynote will be Brandon Jones, who is the Executive Director of theMinnesota Association for Child’s Mental Health & consultant. He specializes in Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), Historical and Intergenerational trauma, Social/Emotional Intelligence (EQ), Leadership, and Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI). Brandon will also facilitate a session following the keynote. He lives by the motto of “Live life with Purpose on Purpose.”

At this training you will:

à Understand strategies and approaches to improve the ability to connect and serve students with different backgrounds.

à Understand your own experience and how to make personal and professional adjustments and adaptability.

à Discuss what institutional strategies should be promoted for lower burnout rates, compassion fatigue, and secondary traumatic stress.

à Understand the importance of incorporating sustainability techniques to maintain a high level of engagement and maintain productivity.

à Define and identify examples of the 5 Core Components taken from the PBIS Cultural Responsiveness Field Guide Resource (Identity, Voice, Supportive Environment, Situational Appropriateness and Data for Equity

à Build awareness and understanding of our personal cultures and values and how those cultures and values impact our classrooms and school environments.

à Explore how to support meaningful change through both technical and adaptive strategies.

If the event has a fee, refunds are possible only if cancellation is prior to the deadline. If you do not attend and do not cancel prior to an event, you are still responsible for payment and will be billed.
