This Region 11 EHDI Community of Practice meeting will include large group discussions of (a) Exploring Communication Opportunities for young children with hearing differences and supporting children’s communication in community settings. (b) Informal opportunities will also be provided for CoP members to participate in sharing resources and supporting each other’s work with children and families.

The February 10 agenda includes three small-group breakout discussion options:

1. Using the Service Coordinator/Service Provider Checklist; Supporting Families of Young Children who are Deaf or Heard of Hearing, Revised Sept 2021

2. Documenting Hearing Status for all young children referred for Part C and Part B Preschool eligibility evaluations

3. Information resources to support children’s consistent use of hearing technology

Cancellation: You can cancel your own registration for an event before the cancellation deadline. (Please check the event information for specific cancellation details.) If the event has a fee, refunds are possible only if cancellation is prior to the deadline. If you do not attend and do not cancel prior to an event, you are still responsible for payment and will be billed.

(BrightWorks requires a notice of 2 business days to cancel a sign language interpreter. If you fail to cancel, we reserve the right to bill your school/district for this expense.)
