School Nurses in the First 5 Years
Sponsored by School Nurse Organization of Minnesota (SNOM) in Collaboration with Minnesota Department of Health and Education and Metro ESCU
This two-day orientation program provides a framework for practice for baccalaureate-prepared nurses who are new to the school nurse role. This program is for RN and Licensed School Nurses with 5 years or less experience in School Nursing.
Content will cover required and essential components of school health services in Minnesota elementary and secondary schools and the National Association of School Nurses Framework for 21st Century School Nursing Practice.

The hours may also be applied to Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board school nurse licensure renewal requirements that are approved by the local continuing education committee. Participants will receive a certificate for 15 contact hours.
