Audience: Staff from sites currently installing Classroom Engagement Model through the MnCoE.

The Classroom Engagement Model is a framework for improving engagement, independence and social relationship by promoting full participation of every child in a classroom setting. The model emphasizes teaming and collaboration to embed opportunities to learn and practice functional goals into daily routines. Classroom Engagement Model benefits children with disabilities as well as typically developing children.

In module 1, participants will learn about the goals of the model, understand what engagement is and will explore teaming and collaboration strategies. Participants will learn how to support children’s active engagement during routines.

Lunch for Centers of Excellence trainings is an hour, it is on your own out in the community, or feel free to bring a bag lunch.
