Audience: Staff from sites in the Warroad Public School District currently installing Classroom Engagement Model through MnCoE. Participants must complete CEM Module 1 prior to attending this training.

The Classroom Engagement Model is a framework for improving engagement, independence and social relationship by promoting full participation of every child in a classroom setting. The model emphasizes teaming and collaboration to embed opportunities to learn and practice functional goals into daily routines. Classroom Engagement Model benefits children with disabilities as well as typically developing children.

In module 4, participants will focus on embedding individual child goals into routines and individualizing strategies to increase child engagement and independence.

In module 5, participants will learn how incidental teaching supports engagement and learning. Additionally, participants will practice using all CEM practices to create a case study.

These modules are the fourth and fifth in a series of five.

Lunch for Centers of Excellence trainings is an hour, it is on your own out in the community, or feel free to bring a bag lunch.
