Two Day Main Training
Dates: October 30 & 31, 2023
Time: 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m
Follow Up Session
Date: November 20, 2023
Time: 3:00 - 4:00 p.m.
Fees: $35.00 for Participants from Region 11 (metro area); $50.00 for Participants outside Region 11
Description: This training will provide information on valid and consistent administration of the WJ-IV. Including accurate scoring and interpretation of results, test result considerations in MN special ed criteria, explanation and meaning of scores, scenarios and problem solving, modeling and practice of the WJ-IV. There will be an exciting door prize related to the workshop content for live virtual participation!
Materials Required: Registrants must have access to the following to participate in the workshop.
- WJ-IV Test of Achievement Kit
- Examiner test manual (digital or physical)
- Student test record form/protocol
- Device to access training (zoom, shared documents)
- Access to the WJ scoring website
- Active account on the WJ scoring website (free, given access by the district if needed)
Presenter: Michele Mogen
Michele has over 40 years of working with students and adults with disabilities, a licensed Director of Special Education, special education teacher K-12 (PHD, DCD), elementary teacher (grades 1-6), and adjunct faculty in the Leadership and Learning department at MSU-Moorhead. She is an experienced presenter and passionate about meaningful and engaging professional development.
