Live More, Screen Less: Digital Wellness in Schools

Our program is designed to foster balanced, intentional, and effective use of technology in schools. This goal arose from deep concern for and with young people. Research in the digital arena reveals that screen misuse and overuse negatively affect five dimensions of well being:

• Social,
• Emotional, 
• Mental,
• Physical,
• And Cognitive;

Especially in the developing brain.

We will examine the research about the outcomes of student dependence on their devices and how we can invite and promote students to the process of developing protocols for themselves and their schools. Part of this presentation will include video interview with students willing to be culnerable about their own attachment to social media and their devices. Participants will leave with a tool kit to begin forming and norming a new approach to converting digitial dependence to digital wellness in educational settings.

If the event has a fee, refunds are possible only if cancellation is prior to the deadline. If you do not attend and do not cancel prior to an event, you are still responsible for payment and will be billed.
