For K-12 ASL Educational Interpreters

Meeting description:  This is an informal event to assist with connecting Educational ASL interpreter mentees with other mentees as well as their mentors.  K-12 ASL interpreters often work alone and may be the only interpreter in a school or a district.  This is an opportunity for interpreters to collaborate with other mentees to learn about studying and preparing for the written and performance interpreting exams, including the EIPA.

Meeting objectives:

  • Inquire and learn about specific exam topics and strategies for testing.
  • Create an action plan with 1-2 new strategies for preparing for certification.
  • Collaborate with other K-12 educational interpreters who have provisional certification and are preparing for exams.

Sponsored by Regional Low Incidence Projects - Region 11
