Homerun Leadership

Facilitator: Dr. Dave Webb

The Homerun Leadership training is the condensed University class on leadership that Dr. Dave Webb teaches for Minnesota colleges, and is the perfect learning retreat for school leaders and leadership teams.

  • The problem-solving and decision-making framework: Leaders face an unending list of challenges, each and every day. Participants in this session will master the use of the problem-solving and decision-making framework using real life examples during this session, so they will return to work with greater confidence to tackle the most difficult team challenges.
  • Homerun Team leadership types: Knowing your greatest strengths as a leader will help you to bring your gifts to your upcoming team meetings. Participants in this session will discover not only their own leadership type, they will also learn the four leadership types, most commonly found on every leadership team, to achieve better faster homerun consensus.
  • Innovation and Improvement Framework: Every leader has key systems throughout their organization. When one of these systems needs improving, leaders need a framework to use to manage this process. Participants in this session will learn, practice and utilize the online web-based application to drive innovation and improvement at their own site.
  • Restorative Practices Framework: Conflict in the workplace, and on boards is prevalent everywhere. Participants in this workshop will learn the Restorative Framework and keys to help members of their own team and boards work through disagreements or frustrations when they arise in your organization.

Dr. Dave Webb is the author of the Amazon best-selling book, Homerun Leadership - Your Guide to Better, Faster Team Decisions. His passion for collaborative team decision making grew out of his doctoral research in conflict management and shared decision making. For decades, Dave’s IROD leadership tool has served organizations to increase collaborative team decision making, consensus building and inclusive team participation. His training presentations focus on helping individuals and organizations like businesses, schools and churches utilize the best, simplified team science to accelerate collaborative team decision making solutions.

Dave is a former Minnesota Superintendent of South St. Paul Public Schools, where he served for 12 years. Dave previously served as a high school principal and began his career as a Spanish teacher. Dave has also served as the Dean of the Spanish Immersion Program for the Concordia Language Villages in Minnesota and is currently the governing board president of his church.
