Alan is an international leader in education technology, and the author of the New York Times bestselling book "Who Owns the Learning." This full day workshop for MNIB schools only is based on the book and a powerful new six step model of designing transformational learning experiences. If the answer is no to all six questions, chances are very good that the assignment has not leveraged the power of technology and is limited to a $1,000 pencil.
Did the assignment build capacity for critical thinking on the web? Did the assignment develop new lines of inquiry? Are there opportunities to broaden the perspective of the conversation with authentic audiences from around the world? Is there an opportunity for students to publish ? across various media with capacity for continuous feedback? Is there an opportunity for students to create a contribution (purposeful work)? Does the assignment provide ?best in the world? examples?
