Workshop Focus:
The implementation of student-centered math discussions and highly effective math professional learning teams. Participants will focus on the work of their teams throughout
the workshop day.
Workshop participants will be introduced to the eight principles of effective teaching and learning, the five practices designed to use students' responses to advance mathematical understanding in the classroom, and the high leverage actions teams can take before, during, and after a unit as you respond to the four critical questions of a professional learning community. This session will provide teachers with the necessary knowledge and tools to improve effectiveness of their work in the classroom and on their professional learning team.

Cancellation: You can cancel your own registration for an event before the cancellation deadline. (Please check the event information for specific cancellation details.) If the event has a fee, refunds are possible only if cancellation is prior to the deadline. If you do not attend and do not cancel prior to an event, you are still responsible for payment and will be billed.

(BrightWorks requires a notice of 2 business days to cancel a sign language interpreter. If you fail to cancel, we reserve the right to bill your school/district for this expense.)
