Standards-based IEP Writing for DHH Students. Looking at the ELA Standards through the lends of Academics and Advocacy for our Students ? Tifany Dreher

This presentation continues our discussion from our DHH case study last spring by further exploring tools for DHH evaluations and IEP goal writing scope and sequencing for students before experiencing modeled vocabulary and advocacy instruction and lesson ideas related to Language and Speaking, Viewing, Listening, and Media Literacy standards. Participants will also have the opportunity to consider content for a student from their current caseload.
The outcomes of this presentation are for DHH educators to identify and expand their knowledge base regarding formal and informal evaluation tools, reflect on IEP goal and objective writing for their students, and gain and share ideas for vocabulary and advocacy instruction. This presentation again will be a hands-on, interactive session with case study work and discussion and feedback activities.
