Personalizing Learning with Bray and McClaskey_July28_2016

Can you or your teachers clearly articulate what personalized learning looks like? Can you identify differences between personalization, differentiation, and individualization? The concept of personalizing learning can bring to mind many different modules of instructions. Using Universal Design for Learning as a framework that is pedagogically appropriate and research-based, Bray and McClaskey will explore stages of a personalized learning environment and the use of learner profiles. The presenters will provide strategies for the cultural change necessary to transform both teachers and students to become co-learners. Clear distinctions will be made between personalization, differentiation and individualization.

Cancellation: You can cancel your own registration for an event before the cancellation deadline. (Please check the event information for specific cancellation details.) If the event has a fee, refunds are possible only if cancellation is prior to the deadline. If you do not attend and do not cancel prior to an event, you are still responsible for payment and will be billed.

(BrightWorks requires a notice of 2 business days to cancel a sign language interpreter. If you fail to cancel, we reserve the right to bill your school/district for this expense.)
