The METRO RIP is providing a half-day workshop for Metro Cohort Schools on Check-In/Check Out. The workshop provides information on what this intervention is, the research and the steps to installing it within your School-wide PBIS framework. As a Secondary Intervention, CICO is most successfully and efficiently used when Tier 1 systems are fully in place. Participation is based on documented achievement of Tier 1 Universal Interventions (SET, TIC, SAS)

Dr. Kevin Filter has worked as a trainer, data consultant, and leadership team member for the Minnesota Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) Initiative since 2005. He has published several studies on FBA, Check-In/ Check Out (CICO), and PBIS as a professor in the school psychology program at Minnesota State University, Mankato. Dr. Filter worked with the authors of the CICO program in Oregon and has trained several schools and districts in Minnesota to implement it.
